QLES2007, 24-26 October 2007 - Travelling Information

* By car

Comming from Brussels, Luik (Liège/Luttich) or Aken (Aix-la-Chapelle/Aachen) via the E40 highway. Leave the E40 highway Brussels-Leuven-Luik at the exit "Leuven-E314" (A2). Immediately leave the E314 at exit nr. 15, "Leuven", and turn right at the third traffic lights. Make a U-turn after about 500m (cf. the schematic map). The faculty Club is located on the right. Parking is available for visitors.

Comming from Hasselt or Aken (Aix-la-Chapelle/Aachen) via the E314/A2 highway. Leave the E314/A2 highway at the exit nr. 15. The rest of the route is explained above.





* By aeroplane

Brussels Airport Trains heading to Leuven leave twice an hour at the airport. Travel by train takes about 15 minutes. Alternatively, it is possible to take a direct taxi from the airport to Leuven, but this may cost about 50 euro.

Brussels South Charleroi Airport (e.g. Ryanair flights) Busses (line A) head regularly to the Charleroi-Sud train station. Take the train to the Brussel North train station (about 1h). At Brussel North Station, take the train to Leuven (about 20 minutes). See further also the train schedules.





* By train

Direct trains head regularly to Leuven from Brussels Airport, Brussels North Station, Brussels South Station (the Thalys and Eurostar terminals), and Liège-Guillemins (Liège train station). See further also the NMBS train schedules.

In front of the Leuven train station: go to the bus terminal, platform 2. Take line 307 (Hamont - Leuven). Exit at stop "Heverlee Sportcentrum" (10 minutes), located in front of the Faculty Club.
